Giant's Causeway

Bushmills, County Antrim

Forty thousand interlocking basalt columns on the Antrim coast, built by the giant Fionn mac Cumhaill as a road to Scotland so he could fight his rival Benandonner. When Fionn saw his opponent's size, his wife disguised him as a baby — and Benandonner, terrified by the size of the 'infant', fled back to Scotland, tearing up the road behind him.
