Lantern Man

A malevolent will-o-the-wisp of the Norfolk Broads, more dangerous than most — it actively pursues lone travellers across the marshes. Whistling or swearing at it only makes it angrier. The only escape is to throw yourself face down in the mud and wait for it to pass.
