Penhill Giant

A giant said to have haunted Penhill in Wensleydale, keeping a pack of hounds that terrorised the shepherds of the dale. A local hermit eventually brought about his downfall. His hill-top eyrie commands the whole of Wensleydale — a landscape that still feels watched from above.
