Dragon of Strathmartine
Angus, Scotland
Nine daughters of a farmer near Strathmartine were taken one by one by a great serpent dwelling in the moorland outside Dundee. A young man named Martin lured the beast to its death with cunning and a spiked ball of dough. The Dragon Stone standing near the site of the slaying once marked the field where the creature fell.
