Henry Morgan

The Welsh privateer Henry Morgan became one of the most famous raiders of the Caribbean. His early life is uncertain, but tradition places his birth around Llanrumney or nearby Pencarn. Later retellings turned the historical governor and plantation owner into a larger-than-life pirate figure.
